What are Vonopion tablets 1 mg for ulcers and Helicobacter Pylori?
Vonopion tablets is a complex form of 3 different medications: Vonoprazan fumarate (Takecab), Amoxicillin hydrate and Metronidazole (Flagyl). This medicine is supplied in pack sheets, with each sheet containing one morning and one evening doses (each dose: 1 tablet of Takecab Tablets 20 mg, 1 tablet of Flagyl 250 mg and 3 capsules of Amoxicillin Capsules 250 mg). The pack of 7 sheets is designed to complete the usual course of treatment.
Vonopion tablets are effective for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori gastritis and Helicobacter pylori infection of gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric MALT lymphoma, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura or the stomach after endoscopic treatment of early-stage gastric cancer. Vonoprazan fumarate (Takecab) inhibits gastric mucosal proton pump to suppress gastric acid secretion, thereby enhancing the effects of the two other antibacterial agents.

Indications: treatment of Helicobacter pylori gastritis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection in the following cases:
- gastric or duodenal ulcer,
- gastric MALT lymphoma,
- idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura,
- the stomach after endoscopic treatment of early-stage gastric cancer.
How to take
Adults should take 1 tablet of Takecab tablets 20 mg (20 mg of vonoprazan), 1 tablet of Flagyl 250 mg (250 mg of metronidazole) and 3 capsules of Amoxicillin capsules 250 mg (750 mg of amoxicillin hydrate) at a time, 2 times a day, for 7 days.
Contraindications: do not use for the following patients:
- patients with infectious mononucleosis, renal disorder, blood disorder (excl. idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura), brain/spinal cord disorder or liver disorder.
- patients whose parents and siblings is predisposed to allergic symptoms such as bronchial asthma and rash,
- patients in a poor oral feeding state,
- pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Important information
Avoid any alcohol drinking while taking this medicine.
In case of mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as loose stool, mild diarrhea or taste abnormality, continue taking this medicine to complete the dosing schedule (7 days). However, in case of severe pain, severe diarrhea or fever, stop taking the medicine and consult with your doctor to avoid misdiagnosis.
If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
