What are Tsumura Kamikihito Extract Granules 2.5 g (anemia, insomnia, anxiety, neurosis, Alzheimer)?

Kamikihito extract granules are the traditional Kampo medicine for treating anxiety and insomnia. These are usually prescribed to patients with a fragile constitution and poor skin. Kamikihito extract by famous Japanese Kampo maker Tsumura uses only dried herbal extract made from plants that have been grown in Japan under strict supervision to ensure the safety and the quality of the product.

Modern studies showed that Kamikihito extract works by binding to brain dopamine D1 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors. It is effective for the treatment of neurosis, anxiety, insomnia and anemia. Clinical trials also showed that Kamikihito extract improved memory and cognitive function in Alzheimer's patients, so this medicine can be used as supporting therapy as well.

How to take

Adults should take 7.5 g (3 packets) a day, dividing into 2 or 3 times, before or between the meals, preferably with water. Your doctor may adjust the dosage according to your age, body weight and symptoms. 

Contraindications: do not use for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients with anorexia, vomiting, nausea, eczema or dermatitis. Use with caution for elderly patients. 

Important information

This medicine may cause changes in blood pressure levels or potassium serum levels. If you cause any abnormalities, consult with your doctor. Pay attention that this medicine may cause increase in blood AG level.

When used for a long-term treatment (5 years or more), patient should receive regular CT colon scanning and/or colonoscopy to avoid the occurrence of e mesenteric phlebosclerosis. 

If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
