What is Toki-Shakuyaku-san (anemia, poor blood circulation)?

Toki-shakuyaku-san, a traditional Japanese Kampo medicine, is crafted from a blend of six herbal plants, including peony root and atractylodes rhizome. Renowned for its efficacy in addressing anemia and other ailments linked to suboptimal blood conditions, this remedy is frequently endorsed by Japanese gynecologists. Indications:

• anemia,
• poor blood circulation, particularly in the hips and legs, 
• inflammatory bowel disease,
• climacteric disorders,
• unstable menstrual cycles,
• pseudo-erosion of the cervix uteri,
• leukorrhagia,
• syndrome of morning swelling,
• complications from impaired blood circulation following childbirth, an abortion, or miscarriage.

How to take

Take the following amount of the medicine with water or warm water, 30 minutes before meals or 2-3 hours after meals. 

Children of 5-7 years old: 2 tablets 3 times a day;

Children of 7-15 years old: 3 tablets 3 times a day;

Adults and children of 15 years and older: 4 tablets 3 times a day.

Contraindications: do not use for children under 5 years old, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients prone to stomach irritation.
