What are Sildenafil VI tablets 50 mg?

Sildenafil tablets containing 50 mg of sildenafil citrate are primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. The mechanism of action of sildenafil involves its inhibition of the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which is responsible for breaking down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells of the corpus cavernosum in the penis. By inhibiting PDE5, sildenafil promotes the accumulation of cGMP, leading to enhanced relaxation of the smooth muscles and increased blood flow to the penile tissue. This physiological response ultimately results in improved erectile function.

Several clinical studies have been conducted to assess the effectiveness of sildenafil tablets with 50 mg of sildenafil citrate. These studies have consistently demonstrated that sildenafil is indeed effective in improving erectile function. How to take

Take 0.5-1 tablet  about 1 hour before sexual activity. For elderly (at the age of 65 or more) and patients with liver disorder or severe renal disorder, it is recommended to take 0.5 tablet at a time.

Take this medicine strictly once a day. Wait at least 24 hours before taking the next dose. You should never take two doses at once.

Contraindications: do not use for the following patients:

• patients with cardiovascular disease  or history of cerebral infarction/cerebral
• hemorrhage or myocardial infarction within recent 6 months, 
• patients with liver or renal dysfunction, 
• patients with hypotension or hypertension, 
• patients with retinitis pigmentosa, 
• patients with sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia, 
• patients with bleeding disorder or peptic ulcer, 
• patients with multiple system atrophy (e.g. Shy-Drager syndrome), 
• patients with structural defect in the penis (e.g. bending penis).
