What are Seihaito extract granules for cough?
Saikokeishito is a traditional Kampo herbal medicine. It has been used to improve cough and expectoration. Saikokeishito by famous Japanese Kampo maker Tsumura uses only dried herbal extract made from plants that have been grown in Japan under strict supervision to ensure the safety and the quality of the product.
Recent clinical studies confirmed that Seihaito extract promotes mucous ciliary transport on the tracheal mucosa, increases the ciliary beat frequency involved in airway fluid transportation and inhibits the release of slow reacting substance of anaphylaxis on antigen stimulation.

- Scutellaria Root,
- Platycodon Root,

- Mulberry Bark,

- Asparagus Root,
- Fritillaria Bulb,
- Glycyrrhiza,
- Schisandra Fruit,
- Ginger,
- Bamboo Culm.

How to take
Adults should take 9 g (3 packets) a day, dividing into 2 or 3 times, before or between the meals, preferably with water. Your doctor may adjust the dosage according to your age, body weight and symptoms.
Contraindications: do not use for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients with extremely weak gastrointestinal tract. Use with caution for elderly patients.
Important information
This medicine may cause changes in blood pressure levels or potassium serum levels. If you cause any abnormalities, consult with your doctor.
When used for a long-term treatment (5 years or more), patient should receive regular CT colon scanning and/or colonoscopy to avoid the occurrence of e mesenteric phlebosclerosis.
If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
