Oseltamivir capsules 75 mg for influenza type A and B (Tamiflu)
What are Oseltamivir capsules 75 mg for influenza type A or B (Tamiflu)?
Oseltamivir is a competitive inhibitor against the neuraminidase protein, an enzyme which allows new virions to migraine from infected cells. By this, Oseltamivir capsules reduce the spread of the virus within the body and help to stop the infection.
Oseltamivir is prescribed for the treatment of human influenza type A and B. A study of Japanese scientists has shown that there are very few cases of type B influenza virus being resistant to oseltamivir. However, this medicine should not be used for the animal influenza viruses (including H1N1 "Swine flu", H5N1 "Bird flu", and others) as these strains are more resistant to oseltamivir.

Important information
Regardless of use of this medicine, patients with influenza infection may show abnormal behaviors such as running outside the home or refusing to take any medications. This happens particularly often in male school children/minors (but could also occur in females), mostly within 2 days after the fever occurred. If a child or minor is treated at home, their parents or guardians should take measures to prevent them from running outside home, even when they are asleep, and to make sure they're taking the medications properly for at least 2 days after fever develops.
If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
