Ofloxacin is a quinolone antibacterial agent. It works by inhibiting the DNA replication of bacteria. Ofloxacin is effective against the following bacteria types:
- Staphylococcus,
- Streptococcus,
- Streptococcus pneumoniae,
- Proteus,
- Haemophilus influenzae,
- Providencia,
- Morganella morganii,
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Ofloxacin has a wide range of antibacterial activity with very few side effects or contraindications. Ofloxacin otic solution is widely used in Japan for the treatment of external otitis and external otitis media.

How to use
Adults should apply 6-10 drops at a time in the affected ear, twice a day. After applying, the patient should keep the medicine inside the ear canal for approximately 10 minutes by lying down with the ear facing up. Your doctor may adjust the dosage according to the symptoms. For children, the amount of drops may be reduced.
Contraindications: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
