It is involved in the production of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a central coenzyme in human metabolism. NMN affects mitochondria, providing energy for the body, accelerates rejuvenation of the cells, provides neuroprotective and anti-aging effect. By protecting neural structures of the brain, it also reduces the physiological stress level.
Clinical trials at Keio University showed that NMN is safe, well tolerated and has no particular contraindications or side effects.
