What are Mucosta tablets 100 mg for ulcer and gastritis (Rebamipide, Rebagen, Rebagit)?
An active principle of Mucosta tablets is rebamipide, an amino acid derivative. It was developed by Otsuka Pharmaceutical in 2012. Rebamipide works by increasing in prostaglandin E2, exerting a cytoprotective action on the gastric mucosa and reducing gastric mucosal injury. Also, Mucosta tablets increase gastric mucus production and stimulate blood flow to the gastric mucosa, improving impaired hemodynamics and reducing inflammation.
Mucosta tablets are used to treat gastric ulcers, gastric mucosal conditions (erosion and bleeding, redness, and edema) in acute and chronic gastritis and aphthous ulcers.

Indications:
- gastric ulcer,
- chronic gastritis acute exacerbation,
- gastric mucosal lesions in acute gastritis (erosion and bleeding, redness, and edema),

How to take
For gastric ulcer: adults should take 1 tablet at a time, 3 times a day in the morning, evening, and before bedtime.
For improvement of gastric mucosal lesions (erosion, bleeding, redness, and edema) in acute gastritis and acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis: adults should take 1 tablet at a time, 3 times daily.
Contraindications: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
