What are Mecobalamin injections 500 mcg (vitamin B12)?
Vitamin B 12 is an essential substance for human body. It is responsible for the production of nucleic acid in nerve cells. As vitamin B12 increases the production of proteins by nerves, it promotes the regeneration of the axons and myelination, e.g. improves the conduction of the nerves. As the result, the peripheral nerves are getting repaired, the pain and numbness reduces. Mecobalamin injections can be used for the treatment of various symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency, neuropathy, dementia and for the improvement of semen quality in male patients.
Active principles: methylcobalamin
Amount: 50 ampoules * 0.5 mg of active principle in each ampule

Indications:
- vitamin B12 deficiency,
- numbness and pain in patients with peripheral neuropathy,
- symptoms of neuropathy caused by diabetes,
- supporting treatment for patients with dementia,

How to use
Adults should receive 1 ampule at a time as intramuscular or intravenous injection, once a day, 3 times a week.
Contraindications: do not use for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Important information
Since the active principle can be damaged by the sunlight, the ampoules should be stored in dark place. If the bright pink color of the medicine starts fading, the medicine should be discard without use.
If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
