Lunesta tablets 2 mg for insomnia (Eszop, eszopiclone, eszopiclon)
What are Lunesta tablets 2 mg for insomnia (Eszop, eszopiclone)?
An active principle of Lunesta tablets is eszopiclone, a nonbenzodiazepine, a cyclopyrrolone and a positive allosteric modator. It works by binding to the benzodiazepine site on GABAergic neurons. By opening chloride channels and inducing hyperpolarization, eszopiclone enhances GABA's inhibitory effect. As the result, Lunesta tablets provide a hypnotic effect and induce sleep.
