Lumigan ophthalmic solution 0,03% eye drops (glaucoma, eye hypertension)
What are Lumigan eye drops for glaucoma (bimatoprost, Eyreida, Sturiban)?
An active principle of Lumigan ophthalmic solution is bimatoprost, a structural analogue of carboprost. It works on the prostamide receptors promoting the drainage of fluid in the eyeball along the uveal outflow tract. By this, Lumigan eye drops reduce intraocular pressure and help to treat glaucoma.
Lumigan ophtalmic solution can be used at home, applied just once a day. The effectiveness of bimatoprost was clinically proven in multiple studies conducted in Japan, EU and US.
