Loxonin 12 pills - Painkiller, menstrual pain relief

What are Loxonin tablets (painkiller)?

An active principle of Loxonin tablets is loxoprofen sodium hydrate, a propionic acid derivative. It works by suppressing an action of prostaglandins, lipid compounds causing pain and inflammations. As loxoprofen is a prodrug, converting into active metabolite within the body, it cause less damage to the stomach. 

Loxonin tablets are effective for relieving chills, fever and pain of various genesis, including headache, menstrual pain, toothache, pain after tooth extraction, sore throat, back pain, joint pain, neuralgia, muscle pain, stiff shoulder pain, earache, bruise pain, fracture pain, sprain pain, trauma pain. This medicine works very quickly due to fast absorption of loxoprofen.

How to take

Adults should take 1 tablet at a time with a full glass of water or warm water. Avoid taking on an empty stomach. The medicine can be taken again if pain reappears, but not more than 2-3 time a day, with the intervals of at least 4 hours between each tablet. 

Contraindications: do not use for the following patients:

• children under 15 years old,
• patients who have had asthma after taking this drug or other antipyretic analgesics or cold medicines,
• patients with gastric or duodenal ulcer, liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease,
• patients with a blood abnormality (blood disease) such as a low red blood cell count (anemia), low platelet count (difficult to stop bleeding, easy bleeding), low white blood cell count, etc.,
• pregnant women who are expected to give birth within 12 weeks.

Important information

This medication is designed for a short-time use. Do not use it for more than 3-5 days in a row. 

Do not take alcohol before or after taking this medicine. Do not take other antipyretic analgesics, cold remedies, sedatives, motion sickness tablets together with these tablets.

Patient should take care when driving a car, working at heights or operating dangerous machinery after taking this medicine.  

If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
