Loratadine OD tablets 10 mg for allergy (Claritin, antihistamine)
What are Loratadine OD tablets 10 mg for allergy (Claritin, Clarityn, antihistamine)?
Loratadine is a well-known tricyclic antihistamine and selective inverse antagonist of peripheral histamine H1R receptors. It is sold in many countries under the brand names Claritin, Clarityn, Claratyne and others.
Loratadine oral tablets are effective for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, itching, and urticaria caused by skin diseases such as eczema and dermatitis. This medicine can be used by both adults and children of 7 years and older. Loratadine can bind to plasma proteins as high as 99% and exhibits a rapid first-pass liver metabolism. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and causes a significantly lower level of drowsiness, altered mood, cognitive impairment, and reduced wakefulness than first-generation antihistamines, making Loratadine tablets a popular non-sedative antihistamine.
