Kremezin tablets 500 mg for progressive chronic renal failure
What are Kremezin tablets 500 mg for progressive chronic renal failure?
Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation was the first pharmaceutical company to introduce a new drug for postponing start of dialysis in patients with progressive chronic renal failure. Kremezin tablets are made of activated carbon adsorbent undergone a special oxidizing. Petroleum-based pure spherical carbon is reduced and oxidized at extremely high temperature. This form gives Kremezin tablets an ability to absorb uremic toxins in the gastrointestinal tract and to excrete them with the feces, without being absorbed into the body. Clinical studies proved that Kremezin tablets improve symptoms of uremia at the predialysis stage and delay the introduction of dialysis treatment for patients with chronic renal failure. Japanese doctors recommend to start the treatment with Kremezin when the rate of increase in serum creatinine (S-Cr) is moderate or higher (change in 1/S-Cr per month is 0.01 dL/mg or higher).
