What are Ketotifen capsules 1 mg?
Ketotifen is a second-generation noncompetitive H1-antihistamine medication. It suppresses the action of histamines, relieves the hypersensitivity of tissues such as airway or nasal mucosa and prevents anaphylaxis. Ketotifen effectively relieves and prevents such symptoms as itchiness, pain, redness, swelling and difficult breathing.
Ketotifen are usually prescribed for the treatment of allergies, asthma, eczema/dermatitis, urticaria, pruritus and other similar conditions.
Active principles: ketotifen fumarate
Amount: 100 capsules

How to take
Adults should take one capsule (1 mg of active principle), 2 times a day, after breakfast and before bedtime.
Your doctor can adjust the dosage depending on your age, disease and symptoms.
Contraindications: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients with epilepsy or a history of it. Do not use for patients allergic to gelatin or lactose or patients with lactose intolerance.
Important information
Avoid driving a car, working at heights or operating hazardous machinery while taking this medicine. Avoid taking alcohol while taking this medicine.
This drug is not designed to relieve bronchial asthma attacks immediately. Patient should use an inhaler or other sufficient treatment in case of emergency.
If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
