Kaletra combination tablets ( Lopinavir Ritonavir HIV)
What are Kaletra tablets (Lopinavir+Ritonavir combination)?
Kaletra tablets are one of the most effective and popular medicines for the treatment of HIV. They contain two active principles: lopinavir and ritonavir. Those components inhibit the protease of human immunodeficiency virus. By this, Kaletra tablets prevent protein synthesis of the virus and stop the further infection of the cells. The combination of lopinavir and ritonavir has a strong antiviral effect, and also increases the residence time and amount of active substances in the blood plasma.
The US National Medical Base has more than two hundreds researches on the effect and use of this medicine. Studies showed that in 1000 patients who have already failed treatment with other antiviral drugs and developed resistance, combination tablets of lopinavir and ritonavir helped to completely restore the healthy amount of CD4 cells in the blood for 37.2% of patients, to reach the virus suppression rate of 90% after one-year therapy.
