Jadenu granules sachet 360 mg for chronic iron overload (Deferasirox, Exjade, Asunra, Oleptiss)
What are Jadenu granules sachet 360 mg for chronic iron overload (Deferasirox, Exjade, Asunra, Oleptiss)?
An active principle of Jadenu granules is deferasirox, an oral iron chelator. It works by binding and excreting excessively accumulated iron from the body. Deferasirox removes the excessive iron not only from the blood, but also from the cells, such as cardiac myocytes and hepatocytes.
Jadenu granules are effective for the treatment of chronic iron overload due to blood transfusions for conditions such as beta-thalassemia and other chronic anemias. This medicine is particularly recommended for use in case the treatment with iron chelator injection is inadequate. Due to low molecular weight and high lipophilicity of deferasirox, it can be taken orally unlike other chelators like deferoxamine.
