What are Goofice tablets 5 mg?

Goofice tablets are a relatively new medicine for the treatment of chronic constipation. Its active principle is an elobixibat hydrate, a blocker of bile acid transporter. It works by suppressing the reabsorption of bile acids and increasing the flow of bile acids to the colon. As the result, Goofice tablets promote moisture and electrolyte secretion to the colon, enhance bowel movement, and significantly improve constipation. Multiple studies conducted all over the world showed that elobixibat is effective for the treatment of chronic constipation caused by various reasons excluding constipation due to organic diseases.

How to take

Take 2 tablets at a time, once a day, before meals. Your doctor can adjust the dosage according to your symptoms. However, the maximum dosage of 3 tablets a day should not be exceeded. 

Contraindications: do not use for the following patients:

• children, 
• pregnant women,
• breastfeeding women,
• patients with an intestinal obstruction caused by tumors or hernia.
