What are Duvroq tablets 6 mg for renal anemia (daprodustat)?
The active principle of Duvroq tablets is daprodustat, a small-molecule hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor. It increases the number of erythropoietin which stimulates hematopoietic cells. As the result, Duvroq tablets promote red blood cell production, increase the number of red blood cells and improve anemia.

How to take
- For patients with chronic kidney disease but not on dialysis and untreated by erythropoiesis stimulating agent: adults should start with 2-4 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. Then your doctor may adjust the dosage according to your symptoms. The maximum daily dose of 24 mg should not be exceeded.
- For patients with chronic kidney disease but not on dialysis and switching from erythropoiesis stimulating agent: adults should start with 4 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. Then your doctor may adjust the dosage according to your symptoms. The maximum daily dose of 24 mg should not be exceeded.
- For dialysis patients: adults should take 4 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. Then your doctor may adjust the dosage according to your symptoms. The maximum daily dose of 24 mg should not be exceeded.
These tablets contains 6 mg of the active ingredient in one tablet.
Contraindications: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients with hypertension and cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction or pulmonary embolism.
Important information
Patient needs regular blood tests to measure concentrations of hemoglobin.
Patient needs to take iron to get an adequate efficacy as prescribed by their doctor.
If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
