What are Cospanon tablets 40 mg for cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis and urinary calculus (flopropione)?
The active principle of Cospanon tablets is flopropione, a spasmolytic or antispasmodic agent. It relieves spasm of smooth muscle in the gastrointestinal tract, stimulates excretion of bile and pancreatic juice into the duodenum and relieve the abdominal pain. Beside of that, Cospanon tablets dilate the urinary duct and stimulate excretion of calculus.
Cospanon tablets are effective for the treatment of cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis and urinary calculus. Japanese doctors usually prescribe flopropione together with a medicine that facilitates stone expulsion as a part of conservative therapy.

How to take
Adults should take 1-2 tablets (40-80 mg of the active principle) at a time, 3 times daily after meals. For urological disease, take 2 tablets (80 mg) at a time, 3 times daily after meals. Your doctor may adjust the dosage according to the disease, age or symptoms.
Contraindications: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
