Cernilton tablets for chronic prostatitis and prostatic hyperplasia
What are Cernilton tablets for chronic prostatitis and prostatic hyperplasia?
Cernilton tablets, containing Cernitin pollen extract, are prescribed for the management of chronic prostatitis and prostatic hyperplasia. These conditions are characterized by inflammation and enlargement of the prostate gland, often leading to bothersome urinary symptoms. Cernilton tablets exert their effects through a combination of anti-inflammatory and micturition-promoting mechanisms.
The mechanism of action of Cernilton tablets primarily revolves around the Cernitin pollen extract, which is derived from specific flower pollen sources. Cernitin extract is rich in bioactive compounds, such as phytosterols, flavonoids, and enzymes, which have anti-inflammatory properties. In the context of chronic prostatitis, this anti-inflammatory effect helps to alleviate the inflammation of the prostate gland, thus reducing pain and discomfort.
Furthermore, Cernilton tablets also have a micturition-promoting effect. In cases of prostatic hyperplasia, the enlarged prostate can constrict the urethra, leading to obstructive urinary symptoms. Cernilton helps to relax the smooth muscle of the prostate and bladder neck, thereby facilitating the flow of urine and potentially reducing urinary frequency and urgency.
