What are Catalin K eye drops for cataracts?
Catalin eye drops contain pyrenoxin, pyridophenoxazine compound similar in structure to xanthommatin. It works by preventing water-soluble protein in the crystal lens from insolubilization. As the result, Catalin K eye drops help to maintain transparency of the lens, and consequently suppress progression of cataract. This medicine is particularly effective for the treatment of early senile cataract.
Active principles: pyrenoxin 0.005%
Amount: 10 bottles of 15 ml each - the active substance is dissolved in a vial before use.

How to use
Adults should use 1-2 drops for each eye, 3-5 times a day. The standard scheme offers two drops in each eye 3 times a day. Your doctor can increase the dosage if needed.
After applying Catalin you should not blink, close your eyes and wait for about 1 minute until the medicine is absorbed. If you need to use other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes after applying Catalin.
Before using medicine, you should warm it in hands, in order not to create an additional stress for the eyes. Using cold medicine may harm eyes. At the same time it is strictly prohibited to store the drug at a temperature of more than 15 degrees Celsius after the dissolution of the granules.
How to store
Before using Catalin for treatment of cataracts, it is necessary to dissolve the granules of one sachet in one bottle, shaking well. It is necessary to use the drug strictly one bottle at a time, in order, without opening two or more at once. Before the granules are dissolved in the solution, the medicine can be stored at room temperature. However, after dissolution, it is permitted to keep Catalin only in the refrigerator. It is necessary to use one bottle within 3 weeks after opening and dissolving granules in it. You can not store medicine longer, because the protein structures will begin to change. Throw away medicine if it is left after the specified expiration period.
Contraindications: do not use for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Do not wear contact lenses while using this medicine.
