What is Azunol Ointment 0.033% for skin inflammation (Azulon)?
Azunol Ointment contains dimethyl isopropylazulene, also known as guaiazulene, a derivative of azulene and bicyclic sesquiterpene. It provides the following effects:
- anti-inflammatory,
- anti-allergic,
- antispasmodic,
- antibacterial,
- antipyretic,
- ulcer-protective,
- antifungal.
Guaiazulene promotes wound healing by increasing the proliferation of fibroblasts, reduces redness and swelling by slightly inhibiting immune response and enhances skin barrier functions.
Azunol Ointment 0.033% is effective for treating eczema, erosions, and ulcers due to burns and other skin conditions. Japanese doctors also prescribe it for the treatment of acute skin symptoms in patients with cancer and anorexia nervosa.

How to take
Apply the required amount of medication several times a day according to the prescription of your doctor.
Contraindications: Do not use in pregnant and lactating women.

If the medicine gets into your eyes, wash it off with water. If irritation occurs, consult a physician immediately.
