What are Azithromycin tablets 250 mg?
Azithromycin is an antibiotic from the macrolide group, which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. It is effective against some Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram-negative bacteria, and many atypical bacteria. Azithromycin tablets help treat a variety of bacterial diseases, from respiratory and gastrointestinal infections to skin and sexually transmitted diseases. Azithromycin does not affect the effectiveness of birth control, unlike some other antibiotics. Therefore, it can be used by female patients using hormonal contraception.

Indications:
- skin infections,
- respiratory infections (including pneumonia),
- urethritis,
- cervicitis,
- strep throat,
- sexually transmitted diseases.
How to take
Urethritis, cervicitis: take 4 tablets (1000 mg azithromycin) once in adults. Do not repeat the course unless instructed to do so by your doctor.
Sexually transmitted diseases: to adults after treatment with azithromycin in the form of injections, 1 tablet once a day.
In deep skin infections, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, pulmonary abscess, secondary infections in patients with chronic respiratory diseases, sinusitis, periodontitis, pericoronitis, jaw inflammation: for adults take 2 tablets (500 mg azithromycin) once a day for 3 days (total 1500 mg). Do not take this medicine for more than 3 days because this dosage lasts a total of 7 days.
Contraindications: do not use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Do not use in patients with liver or heart disease.
