Atorvastatin tablets 10 mg for lowering cholesterol level (statin)
What are Atorvastatin tablets?
Atorvastatin, unlike most other statins, is a completely synthetic compound. It works by inhibiting a certain enzyme and thus reducing the level of low-density lipoproteins ("bad" cholesterol) in the blood. In addition, atorvastatin tablets increase the production of high-density lipoproteins․
Atorvastatin tablets are effective for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and familial hypercholesterolemia. They are used for the primary prevention of heart attack, stroke, and the need for revascularization procedures in patients with risk factors.
