What are Amezinium metilsulfate tablets?

Amezinium methylsulfate tablets are effective for the treatment of hypotension. The active substance inhibits norepinephrine reuptake and inactivation. This results in an indirect increase in sympathetic nerve function an in an increase in blood pressure.

Amezinium methylsulfate tablets are used for the following purposes:

• to treat severe symptoms of hypotension,
• to treat orthostatic hypotension,
• to prevent or reduce a drop in blood pressure during medical dialysis procedures.

How to take

Take the tablets without chewing, with a small amount of water. Start with taking 1 tablet 1-3 times a day. Then, if necessary, gradually increase the dosage. The maximum dosage is 3 tablets (30 mg) 3 times a day. Your doctor may adjust the dosage if needed, according to the disease, age and symptoms.

Contraindications: hypersensitivity, hypertension, pheochromocytoma, thyrotoxicosis, closed-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy or adenoma with residual urine, 1st trimester of pregnancy, childhood and adolescence (under 12 years).
