What is Allegra Junior antihistamine for children?

Many parents of children suffering from allergies have faced the problem of finding an effective and safe antihistamine for the child. Many adult medications have too high a dosage, and children's remedies have to be non-sedative. The antihistamine drug Allegra Junior for children is based on the action of fexofenadine, which blocks histamine receptors and does not possess any cardiotoxic properties. It is used to treat allergic diseases: seasonal allergic rhinitis (pollinosis), chronic idiopathic urticaria. Japanese therapists often use it to relieve such unpleasant symptoms as nasal congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes. 

Allegra Junior does not cause drowsiness and decreased concentration. This medicine does not irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach, you can drink it on an empty stomach without fear of consequences. It does not cause dry mouth as well. 

Active principles: fexofenadine 30 mg in 1 tablet

Indications: allergic reactions, including hay fever, animal and house dust allergy

How to take

• Children 7-11 years old: take 1 tablet 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening. 
• Children 11-14 years old: take 2 tablets 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening.

Your doctor may adjust the dosage depending on patient's age and symptoms.  

Contraindications: do not use for children under 7 years old.

If the effect is not observed within 4 days of the use, stop using the medicine and consult with your doctor. 

If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medicine and consult with the doctor. If your child  is taking any other medication or treatment, consult with your doctor in advance.
