What are Allegra FX tablets for allergy and pollinosis (fexofenadine)?

An active principle of Allegra FX tablets is fexofenadine, a selective peripheral H₁ receptors blocker. It blocks the histamine receptors to histamine and improves the following symptoms:

• congestion, 
• sneezing, 
• lacrimation and feeling of burn in the eyes,
• itch. 

Allegra FX tablets are used to treat allergies, including seasonal allergic rhinitis (pollinosis) and chronic idiopathic urticaria. This medicine is safe and is not associated with cardiotoxic properties. Allegra FX tablets do not cause drowsiness or decreased concentration, so they can be used by schoolchildren, students, people working in heights or operating dangerous machinery, and drivers of vehicles. Fexofenadine does not irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach, so it can be taken on an empty stomach. Also, it does not cause the dry mouth symptom.

Indications: allergy, seasonal allergic rhinitis (pollinosis), chronic idiopathic urticaria.

How to take

Adults should take 1 tablet 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening. For children under 15 years old, the dosage should be prescribed by their doctor. 

Contraindications: do not use for breastfeeding women. Pregnant women and elderly patients should consult with their doctor before use. 

Important information

Do not use concomitantly with other antihistamine agents.

Do not take alcohol just before or after taking this medicine. 

This medicine is not designed for a log-term use. If the symptoms haven't improved within one week, stop using the medicine and consult with your doctor. For patients with seasonal allergies, if the effect is sufficient, the medicine can be used up to the end of allergic season. 

If an allergic reaction occurs, patient needs to stop using the medicine and consult with their doctor. If patient is taking any other medication or treatment, they should consult with their doctor in advance.
